About me

My name is Dillon Traphagen and I am a Mechanical Engineering Student that attends UNC Charlotte. I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to Charlotte for school. I have a passion to help others making me want to go into the biomedical field. I eventually want to produce or design artificial limbs for handicapped people and animals. In Sophomore design I would like to create a portable printer. It would be about 1ft by 1ft and only will be able to print in black and white.

I am excited to progress into my degree and take Junior and Senior Design classes because of the hands on experience those classes have to offer.

My strengths are my creative thinking skills and ability to work well and communicate with others. My weakness is my procrastination and my able to not know how to properly create HTML pages.

My bucket list is full on things I hope I accomplish/do. First I want to play with baby tigers, not just one but a whole pack of baby tigers. I want to go skydiving one day. I hope to visit Tokyo. Create something beneficial before I die. Last I want to learn to cook like a Master Chef on Chopped.

I love to play soccer in my free time and hang out with friends. I am a member of the Helping Hand club on campus. Helping Hand is a club that goes to local hospitals and uses the 3D printers on campus to produce artificial limbs for kids in need.

From this assignment I learned how to use Sea Monkey HTML Editor and how to recreate my portfolio from scratch. In total I've spent about 3 hours working through this learning how to set everything up in these programs since I am off-campus.
