Deepcool's Gammax400 was the first third-party cooler used in one of our system builds. The Gammax400 uses 4 heatpipes connected to a mounting plate that directly touch the CPU for cooling. The cooler has a 120mm fan included along with additional brackets to fit a second 120mm fan if the user wants extra cooling. The fan, when powered on, lights up blue and is not addressable nor can it be turned off with any software. The mounting on AMD systems is not ideal as it requires clips from the latches to be mounted, while Intel uses a different mounting socket that uses 4 screws, which is normally ideal for cooler mounting. The CPU cooler costs around $40 and cools effectively for its price; however, if you place this cooler on a high-end CPU with more than 8 cores, it will struggle to cool it.
Overall, the verdict of this cooler has its positives and negatives.
