Graduating from Columbia College with a degree in Computer Science marked the beginning of my journey in technology, where I spent five years working as an Application Programmer at MBS Textbook Exchange (Barnes & Noble). Through this experience, I developed a strong foundation in building and maintaining real-world systems. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the deeper questions behind these systems: how people interact with technology, how decisions are supported, and how trust, security, and privacy shape real-world use. This led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Software and Information Systems, where I now focus on human-centered AI and decision-support systems, studying how to design technologies that people can use confidently, responsibly, and effectively.
