What is 49er?

49er is an automated discovery system that explores databases in search for knowledge. The 49er system discovers knowledge in the form of regularities, that is statements of the form "Pattern P holds for data in range R". 49er systematically searches a large number of data subsets discovering even patterns that occur in limited circumstances. 49er evaluates and reports only those patterns that pass the user thresholds.

The 49er system demonstrates, that Knowledge and Discovery in Databases (KDD)can be inherited from experience in Automation of Scientific Discovery (ASD) primarily from discovery systems which are more automated than most KDD systems, and can discover forms of knowledge not yet considered in KDD.

The Next Several Webpages allow a user to input a table that follows the proper input format to the 49er system. Users must specify as to what kind of results they would like to get from 49er. They may choose to see all regularities within a certain table or they may choose to identify rules based on an attribute within the table. Please specify below:
