ITIS 6200/8200: Principles of Information Security and Privacy
This course provides a comprehensive overview of key issues and
solutions for information security and privacy. Topics include
introduction to computer security, building blocks of cryptography, symmetric and public key encryption, one way functions, key distribution and establishment, bit commitment, zero knowledge proof, digital cash, encryption algorithms, information theory for encryption, security in real life. We will also introduce the state of the art research in this direction.
