July 31st: Presentation and Portfolio Workshop

Your Proposals, Visuals, & Annotated Bibliographies and Ethical Dilemmas are due today (7/31).

No class tomorrow (8/01)--transfer SOAR session.

Presentation

Each of you will present on your proposals. The goal of this assignment is to practice some public speaking. You have to decided what to cover from your research in order to fit 4-5 min. Let's go to the presentation discussion. Your presentations will be on Monday (8/05) and Tuesday (8/06) of next week.

Portfolios

Your portfolios are due tomorrow. Take the rest of the time today to revise and prepare your portfolios and/or your presentations. Let's take a look at the portfolio requirements.

Anyone need a grammar refresher?

Next Week

We should have finalized the Presentation schedule by now. Remember, there's no class tomorrow (8/01) because of a Transfer SOAR session, but you'll turn your portfolios (by 4pm) into my mailbox--use a folder and not a binder. I will be on campus, but I won't necessarily be in my office to meet during office hours 4:00-5:00. I'll be in and out of my office most of the day.
