Quizzes in the Lab and bonus marks: |
Bonus marks: Your grade on each week's quiz will be supplemented by your on-line homework completed by the following Sunday. (TIP: be sure to attempt the on-line quiz before your lab to get the extra practice. The Mathpro5 website provides also plenty of interactive exercices created by the author of our textbook.) Once you have an access code: go to www.mathpro5.com. When accessing the first time, you must then register (to get your quizzes recorded!), after that you click on "Log in" . Your first time in, you must also "adopt" our course. Our Course ID is 3076. |
||
Tests: |
Test I: Monday September 16;
Test II: Wednesday October 16; Test III: Wednesday November 13. Tests will be held in class. |
||
Common Final: |
Saturday December 7 2002, 11:30 am -2:30 pm .
The place of the final exam will be given later by the department.
The Departmental Final Exam is cumulative. Missing the Final Exam will result in an automatic F Grade regardless of your performance on other exams. |
||
No makeups: | There will be NO make-up quizzes or tests. If a student’s final exam score is higher than one of the other test scores, the final exam score will be used to replace the lowest test score. This, however, is not a license for you to miss an exam or a quiz and is provided only as a back up against any emergency. In case you miss a test for some emergency you need to provide documentation (for example, a Doctor’s certificate in case you were very sick).
Evaluation: | Grades will be based on: Attendance 5%, Quizzes 20%, Tests 45 %, Common Final 30%.
Class meeting: | MWF 12:00-12:50 pm in Fretwell 128.
