Lecture

Taking the limit of a function at a point is a method of predicting the value of the function at the point. We can break the process into three parts. 1. Find the limit from the left. 2 Find the limit from the right. and 3. See if the two values obtained are the same. We spend some time using the geometric method, which involves covering the graph of the function at the point in question and to the right of the point, allowing the determination of the left limit. Then do the same thing on the other side of the point in question, and compare the two predicted values.
