Brief review of the lecture

The text breaks up the rules of differentiation into three groups, Basic Rules, covered in section 3.1; Product and Quotient Rules, covered in section 3.2; and the CHAIN Rule, covered in section 3.3. The chain rule is by far the most important. It is also the hardest to learn because you must learn to decomposed functions into simpler ones before applying the chain rule.
