International System of Units - (SI)Metric system of measurement which defines unit quantities. Seven mutually independent basic unit quantities are defined along with derived units. These are meter (length), kilogram (mass), second (time), ampere (electric current), mole (numerical amount) kelvin (temperature), and candela (luminous intensity).
