Rotary Axis -

• The axis of rotation for a given rotary stage on a machine tool.
• A rotational degree of freedom for positioning
• A machine tool's rotary stage or spindle. (Improper, but commonly used by association, i.e the stage rotates a part about an asscoiated axis)
