Benjamin Taylor

M.S. Cybersecurity β€’ Network & AppSec β€’ Research & Engineering

My Mission

I'm a Computer Science student at UNC Charlotte, pursuing an M.S. in Cybersecurity, alongside a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I focus on network and application security, secure systems engineering, and applied cybersecurity research. My mission is to strengthen defenses and build innovative solutions that make security more accessible, intelligent, and actionable.

Why Cybersecurity

My journey through computer science led me to discover a passion for cybersecurity. I'm now committed to advancing in security research and engineering: tackling problems in network defense, application hardening, and threat detection. What drives me is the real-world impact of protecting people, data, and systems from evolving cyber threats.
