About Me

Who Am I?

¡Hola! I’m Melanie, a first-generation MIS student at San Jose State University, minoring in Human Systems Integration. I love blending technology, business, and creativity to solve problems in innovative and meaningful ways.

My creative side comes from my love for graphic design, and digital media—I’ve always been drawn to expressing myself through art and bringing ideas to life visually. On the technical side, I’ve built a strong foundation through projects and coursework in web development (Figma, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React, Node.js) and data analytics (Excel, Pandas, Python, SQL). And when it comes to business, I owe my strategic mindset to both my coursework and my experience growing up around my family’s plumbing company, where I saw firsthand what it takes to run a successful business.

I love finding ways to intersect all these perspectives to create impactful solutions, and I thrive on hearing different ideas—because I, too, come from a mix of backgrounds and experiences. Whether it’s designing seamless user experiences, optimizing workflows, or leveraging data to drive smarter decisions, I’m all about making decisions that are better, more efficient, and more creative.
