I am currently a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to this I used work as a Data Scientist at Micron Technology. I come from a diverse educational background, culminating in an interesting academic journey. I have obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Data Science from the prestigious Chennai Mathematical Institute, India in April 2021. Prior to this, I completed an M.Sc. in Mathematics at the University of Delhi, India in April 2018. My educational journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from St. Xavier's College, India in May 2016. My research centers on creating scalable and dependable algorithms and models in machine learning and data science. I'm passionate about problems lying at the intersection of mathematics and computer science such as tackling computational and statistical challenges posed by complex models. One such example will be the developing algorithms for solving distance geometry problems involving sparsity, or low-rank structures, using efficient optimization techniques. My work draws upon a diverse range of mathematical concepts, including high-dimensional probability, manifold learning, non-convex optimization, numerical linear algebra, and advanced machine learning to address these challenges effectively. |
