Austin Heft
Austin Heft is pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her career plans are to develop prosthetic devices for athletes out of more environmentally sustainable materials. She also runs for the university’s cross country and track teams.
Jose Abreu
Jose is a mechanical engineering major from the Dominican Republic. He worked for many years in the food distribution industry. His work experience includes building construction, fire code regulations, project management and personnel supervision.
Jose is looking forward to working in the automotive industry upon completion of his degree.
Ada Kersh
Ada is a mechanical engineering major from Chapel Hill, NC. She plans to concentrate in motorsports and to eventually work in the automotive industry. Ada is excited to participate in community service activities and hopes to join the Formula SAE design team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, welding, and hiking.
Harmon Schlueter
Harmon is a student currently pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics at UNC Charlotte. He is passionate about the world of science and technology and is always seeking to deepen his understanding of how things work. Apart from academics, he also takes an active role in the UNC Charlotte community and participates in various extracurricular activities. As an aspiring engineer and physicist, he has committed to using his knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world.
