Teaching

I teach and develop courses that connect research-backed methods with real-world practice in construction, facilities management, and procurement. My goal is to help students build durable professional skills—critical thinking, structured decision-making, and leadership—while gaining hands-on familiarity with the tools and processes used in industry.

Teaching Approach

My teaching emphasizes active learning, real-world application, and continuous industry relevance.

Real-World Projects

I integrate actual project documents, scopes, and execution strategies from my industry engagements directly into course assignments. Students work with real RFPs, construction schedules, and cost data rather than textbook exercises alone.

Hands-On Workshops

Every course includes structured workshop sessions where students apply concepts in simulated or live scenarios—from building CPM schedules in Primavera P6 to preparing competitive proposals using industry-standard procurement formats.

Industry-Current Content

Course material is continuously refreshed through my active research program and professional engagements. Topics like AI adoption in FM, progressive design-build, and ESG-driven facility strategy enter the classroom as they emerge in practice.

Team-Based Instruction

Drawing on experience as a military training supervisor and co-instructor for professional education programs, I design courses that develop both individual expertise and the collaborative skills essential to AEC project teams.
