Meeting the specifications
- The first way I have used JS to display content to the user is through the slide show. a picture is worth 1000 words right?
- The second way I have used JS to display content to the user is through the form validator on the contact page. it allows the user to send off emails without having to reload the page.
- the third way I have used JS to display content to the user is through the project page where they can select a date through a calendar for volunteering
Summary of Critiques and Updates
Lily and Pablo pointed out some good things that i could do to improve this page. they explained how the front page wasnt that great and everything was bland and not put together. they said that i needed more pictures and less words to explain the project better. lastly they said I needed one last JS feature
- The first improvement I made was to the styling. i changed it from mostly white and bland. Also I updated the home page with a pretty picture
- The second improvement I made was that I made the slide show to fullfill the final JS requirement and show off more pictures.
- The Third improvement I made the addition of more pictures
How this Site Will Meet the Needs of the Client
- First the project is pretty disorganized. there is information in a google sheet but beyond that there is no central spot that anyone could go to see all the work we are doing to be informed. I think that by just having a website that could grow with the project would do wonders for the people involved and the surrounding community.
- Future plans for this site are to upload all of the data from our compiled samplings and have it all listed out nice and pretty for the user to be able to quickly look back at the project.
