Description
Cognitive Biases on Decision Making in Virtual Reality page

Detail:Cognitive biases largely affect human decision-making in the real world. However, no research has been conducted to address how cognitive biases affect decision- making in fully immersive virtual reality (VR) environments. This project evaluates effects of cognitive biases between a real human and a virtual human on decision-making tasks in VR. As a starting point, we examine effects of one of the well-known cognitive biases, the fundamental attribution error (FAE), in order to explore how it influences interactions between a virtual human and a human in a head-mounted display (HMD) system. To our best knowledge, ours is the first cognitive bias study in VR.
