  • The Final Exam is Wednesday, December 14, 2:00 -4:30 pm., Woodward 140.  Open book, open notes.  No PC, mobile phone, tablet, etc. allowed.

  • Last week of class!
  • "The one test every embedded system must pass is the dreaded ground hog test. To perform this test, take your first prototype unit into the lab and connect it to a de-energized power supply. Then stand back, look in the other direction and throw the switch. If you see your shadow, there will be 6 more weeks of development..." (from Jack Ganssle email)"
  • The graduate prject is due Friday, December 9 at 12:00 noon.

  • Exam rules:  Open books, open notes, open calculator.  You may not have a PC, phone, or other electronic device.  Of course, you may not bring a friend to help during the test!  The test is 75 minutes, so be on time.  Spread out across the room!

  • Don't forget the exam is on Wednesday, October 5. 
  •  Graduate students, don't forget your first project assignment is due October 14.  You should start forming your teams and talk with me (Dr. Conrad) about your proposed project.  Remember, I have office hours MW 1:00 to 2:00.  I am generally NOT available after class to talk.

  • Welcome to ECE 4101/5101!  The first week of class starts Monday, August 22, 2011. 
  • Homework Assignment 1 is due Monday, August 29, 2011 at the start of class.  It's simple - just based on the syllabus, class discussions, and one reading.
  • The lab assignments will use the Renesas RX62N Evaluation Board.  Each student can purchase one if they wish.  Visit www.renesas.com or other on-line sites to purchase one (about $100).
  • This class will be based heavily on the web pages.  For example:
