  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen*
  • Light backpack
  • Lunch
  • Water*
  • Long-sleeved light-weight shirt as a sun cover-up for neck and arms

Three teachers, and several chaperones TAs will accompany the students on the field trip. We will make sure that we have the following

DAILY - Lab Appropriate Clothing
We will spend most of every day in the lab - because of safety this means there are some requirements for dress. These are going to be long, active days, please be sure that students have breakfast and lunch.

  • Shoes that enclose the feet (NO sandals, flipflops or clogs)
  • Knee-length skirts, shorts, etc.
  • Shirts that can be tucked in, with sleeves that are either tight to the wrist or do not come below the elbow
  • Some way to tie back long hair (so it cannot fall forward over the shoulders)
We will have available the following:
  • Lab coats
  • Lab gloves
  • Protective eyewear
  • Notebooks and pens - but students must remember to bring them back if they take them home.
